Aldo's first computer
During high-school years, Aldo diSorbo was supported in his interest in the sciences by his grandfather who promised him a personal computer if he succeeds in getting admitted to a top university.
Aldo got a very good grade at his Baccalaureate and he got admitted to the number one Polytechnic Institute in the country.
Aldo's grandfather kept his promise and bought his grandson his first personal computer. Aldo was disappointed from the very beginning of the performance of the machine.
In several occasions, he tried to modify the initial operating system (named Minix) to connect the computer to the university's network, but Aldo did not succeed in this attempt.
